In this article we want to tell you the story of the partner manufacturer Tappero.

The boss Domenico Tappero comes from a family that for generations has dedicated itself to the world of viticulture. After an important experience in the software world in 2001, he began to replant the Erbaluce grape at the familiar soil. The vineyards became an integral part of Domenico’s life, which began to be noticed again.

From these premises the battle of Domenico starts with the intention of enhancing the Erbaluce by practicing a viticulture that was witness of a return to "modern" craftsmanship.

Dedition and Philosophy

The freshness, the quality and the goodness of the product, only with purely and exclusively natural methods.

It is for this reason that Domenico decided to dedicate himself fully in this world with exclusively and purely natural cultivation techniques, like the winemakers of the past.

He believes that if a person works in respect of the environment that surrounds him, without compromising any balance, he does not need any certification that attests to the goodness of his work. And this is how he applied in a modern key the agronomic techniques that were adopted by the Canavese winemakers in the past, paying particular attention to the organic structure of the soils, practicing the targeted green manure (with legumes, grasses, asteraceae) to improve the fertility of very acidic soils.

Canavese's Territory

Surrounded by the Po Valley, gradually covered by sediments originating from the erosion of the Alps.

The soils of the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea are very acidic and are normally composed of 70-85% sands, 10-20% silt and 5-10% clay that guarantee excellent drainage to the vineyards.
