Its name comes from the small natural quarries, called "barmet", dug under the rocks situated between the vineyards, which once offered places of storage or collection of rainwater. Today, however, they offer a pleasant refreshment point during the days of hard work in the vineyard.
Perfect throughout the meal, this wine is highlighted, however, paired with cured meats, including the traditional Valdostan lard. Absolutely delicious with chestnut soups, potatoes, beans and to try with ajucche soup.
