Passata di Pomodoro “La Tomatta”

It is the first 100% Valdostan pass. It is prepared with healthy and ripe tomatoes at the right point, grown on a single plot in the municipality of Aymavilles. We do not use any chemical treatment on our tomatoes and the exposure we have adopted, is the same that we use for the vineyards in these parts: sun, height and unspoiled nature. The tomatoes used in recipes with this mountain tomato sauce, are of the variety perino, typical to make the classic tomato sauce. To make the sauce, we cooked it by removing all the water of the vegetable, so as to obtain a very sweet sauce in the flavor. After the introduction of the golden apple in Europe in 1540, it was said that this vegetable had aphrodisiac properties and this is the reason why the French originally called it Pomme d'amour, "apple of love". We are sure that with our Tomatta, you will become crazy with love for its incredible taste.
