Wildflower honey

Characteristics:

  • Consistency: The millefiori honey represents the intertwining between the characters and the souls of a set of nectars of different plant varieties present in the collection sites. For this reason, this product is a surprise every year and is always different, not only depending on the place of production, but also on the harvest period. It is usually a liquid honey that slowly crystallizes a few months after harvest.
  • Color: The color of this honey is closely related to the type of plant variety from which bees collect the raw material, nectar. There may be amber or copper shades and slight traces of light green.
  • Flavour: Wildflower honey is an unpredictable honey. Depending on the harvest period, it gives different colors, flavors and texture: from the sweet and delicate tone to the taste to the bitter and almost tannic aftertaste to the memory. It is a complex product whose taste can vary from caramelized to floral, from malted to bitter, from delicate to robust.
  • Aroma: Wildflower honey is known for the strong spirit of its aroma. In the mouth it gives off a floral and tannic sensation that, in an instant, immerses the taster in an environment rich in biodiversity

Description

Our wildflower honey is harvested mainly in Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Calabria, where foraging bees can make their diet varied and choose from a wide biological diversity of plant species, weaving its character in a plot to be discovered every year.

It is one of the best table honeys, chosen to sweeten tea, a warm cup of milk or to accompany the cheese, both fresh and aged. Millefiori honey is also surprising when used to marinate meat and fish or to garnish desserts made with cream or cream. It is also ideal immersed in a glass of white yogurt in the morning.
